Dives 1 and 2: NORMANNIABOAT: Atlantis IVGENERAL TOPWATER CONDITIONS:Sunday dive after Saturday was blown out with small craft advisory (SCA). We decided to head south towards Saturday's original destination - the Normannia. Hot and Sunny, with a dropping wind. The seas were still kicked up from Saturday, so the ride out and at anchor was a bit bumpy, but the seas and winds dropped through out the day. The Normannia is sure a long way out. It was a long 13-14 hour day on the water, but well worth the trip to a rarely visited wreck. INWATER CONDITIONS: Anchored just forward of the boilers. Slight current on top but almost gone on the bottom bottom. Viz was good - 40-50 ft, but a bit on the green side; water temp in the hi-70s THE DIVE: 10:45 am in water; 112 ft max depth; BT: 0:27; MARINE LIFE: lionfish, grouper, lobster, spadefish, hognose snapper, etc THE DIVERS & CREW: Bruce, Michael, Jade, Joe, Julian, Paul, Bruce, Bobby and Renate |
